Web Support

The Web Support Team -- part of the CCIT Client and Web Services Group -- manages the content of various Mines web resources, including the school's internal website inside.mines.edu and its outward-facing "marketing" site www.mines.edu.

The team trains editors across campus in the use of the school's Content Management System (CMS), a system that allows quick and easy proficiency in updating web content while keeping a consistent look and feel of Mines web pages. For information on how the Content Management System works, choose the CMS link at left.

The Web Support Team also maintains a traditional web server, "Illuminate," for those departmental websites not yet enjoying the benefits of the CMS. Finally, the unsupported experimental web server called "Pebble" allows users to create web pages with PHP elements.
