Engineering Grand Challenges

Students living in the Grand Challenges Community are passionate about being Engineers dedicated to problem-solving and working towards finding solutions to the largest Engineering Challenges the world has to offer. The National Academy of Engineering along with world leaders in science identified 14 Grand Challenges for engineers to accomplish.   This community will have access to labs on campus to participate in group projects and to faculty who are doing research in areas of solving the world’s issues. The GCC will also participate in workshops to tackle specific challenges throughout the year concluding in presentations made at the senior design showcase in the spring (no other first-year students are allowed to participate in this event).

The Engineering Grand Challenges Community is housed in Elm Hall for the 2017-2018 academic year.
