Van't Hoff Equation

LEAD Technologies Inc. V1.01

where K is the equilibrium constant, T is temperature, H is the enthalpy of the reaction and R is the gas constant. It provides the materials engineer a means to detemine how the equilibrium constant for a reaction or process will vary with temperature.

Profs. Anderson and Mishra provide more details about the Van't Hoff Equation and other important material processing equations in MTGN334 Chemical Processing of Materials.
