EE Prof Co-Authors Two Book Chapters
September 6, 2001
Dr. Atef Z. Elsherbeni, Professor of Electrical Engineering, has two co-authored book chapters in the recently published book, "Handbook of Antenna in Wireless Communications," from CRC Press. The two chapters, "The Finite Differences Time Domain (FDTD) Technique for Microstrip Antennas Applications" and "Handheld Antennas", are based on Dr. Elsherbeni's research on the use of the FDTD technique for the analysis, simulation and design of state-of-the-art antennas and other practical electromagnetic applications, that have led to national and international recognition for his work.
Dr. Charles E. Smith, Professor and Chair of Electrical Engineering, and Dr. Paul Huang, a former graduate student now with Anadigics, Inc. are also co-authors of the Handheld Antennas chapter.
