EE Presentation Selected as Best Paper
October 25, 2002
Recently, Dr. Atef Z. Elsherbeni, Professor of Electrical Engineering, and the co-authors of the presented and conference paper, "Slot Antennas for Dual and Wideband operation in Wireless Communication Systems," learned that their paper was selected as one of the best papers presented in the technical session: Wireless/Mobile Networks, Protocols, Applications and Economics IV. This paper presentation was part of the joint 6th World Multi-conference on Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics (SCI 2002) and The 8th International conference on Information Systems, Analysis and Synthesis (ISAS 2002) held in Orlando, Fl on July 14-18, 2002. The quality of the paper was cited for contributing to the conference prestige and great success.
Systemics, cybernetics, and informatics are increasingly related to each other in almost every scientific discipline and activity, and this joint conference provided a stimulus for cross-fertilization among the different discipline, inspiring scholars, generating analogies, and provoking innovations in the fundamental aim of cybernetics.
The paper was presented by Dr. Elsherbeni, and all co-authors are listed below along with an abstract and a picture representing this class of antennas.
