Learning and Teaching Effectiveness

I have been actively involved in both the Liberal Education (LED) and Educational Research Methods (ERM) divisions of the American Society for Engineering Education for many years.  Recently I have been chosen by ERM to be a member of a national faculty team to develop and deliver teaching workshops at national conferences and on selected college campuses.  We have prepared materials for the workshops which cover all important aspects of effective teaching including learning styles theory, classroom climate, test writing, assessment, cooperative learning, etc.  Our first workshop was successfully delivered at the Seattle ASEE national conference in June 1998.
