Welcome
Greetings, my name is Christopher Floyd, but I prefer to go by Chris. I am a second year master's student in Computational and Applied Mathematics at the Colorado School of Mines, and I graduated from CSM in May 2010 with a bachelor's of science, also in Applied Math. Besides my studies, I am a fellow in the GK-12 Learning Partnership, where I hope to show students how useful and interesting mathematics can be. Through this program, I help Mr. Adam Bander teach 8th grade math at Aurora East Middle School. I hope to apply my mathematics knowledge to solve problems and model situations newly arising in the world today, and I hope to inspire others to do the same along the way.
