CSM SGI Varsity Software

Here are the individuals under this program currently authorized to obtain license keys and support (changeable from http://www.sgi.com/education/form.html:

Other links of immediate interest would be given here, but appear to have disappeared from http://www.sgi.com, and even where they exist they are behind (info on IRIX 6.5.8 is latest OS upgrade with information available available, 6.5.4 on the varsity page above...). Note that some products, such as the current compilers, require obtaining license keys to work. One of the above Authorized Contacts can obtain them through http://www.sgi.com/support/licensing/.

SGI no longer includes a RELEASE.info file on its CDs, so my previous scripts that analyzed that and produced various sorted lists of what products are on what CDs fails. In its place, SGI includes an...

...HTML file detailing the package names and CD location, found here: cd.products.html.

We also have a fair number of older CDs. Also, generally speaking, the latest recommended/required patches should be obtained from http://www.sgi.com/support/patch_intro.html.

IRIX 6.5 first arrived on campus 9-2-1998, and is installed in a number of locations. IRIX 6.5.10 is the latest, arrived 11-28-2000, and is available.
