Hua Wang is an Associate Professor of Department of Computer Science at Colorado School of Mines. He joined the department as an Assistant Professor right after he finished his Ph.D. degree from Department of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Texas at Arlington in 2012. In 2018, he has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure. His current research interests include machine learning and big data mining, as well as their applications in cheminformatics, medical image computing, health informatics, additive manufacturing, bioinformatics, and computer vision, where he aims at developing efficient algorithms with nice theoretical guarantees to solve practical problems involving large scale data.
