Hua Wang is an assistant professor of the Department of Computer Science at Colorado School of Mines. He joined the department right after he finished his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2012. His current research interests include machine learning and data mining, as well as their applications in cheminformatics, medical image computing, health informatics, additive manufacturing, bioinformatics, and computer vision, where he aims at developing efficient algorithms with nice theoretical guarantees to solve practical problems involving large scale data.

I am looking for graduate students, motivated for doing research in the areas of machine learning and data mining, with their applications in medical image computing, health informatics, cheminformatics, bioinformatics, and computer vision.
