My principal areas of research are in all aspects of carbonate geology, including diagenesis, geochemistry, dolomitization, sedimentology, and stratigraphy. Research field areas have included Barbados, Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Panama, Jamaica, Oman, Kuwait, Alberta, Colorado, Texas, Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming.  I am also the director of the CSM Stable Isotope Laboratory and do research related to a variety of topics utilizing light stable isotopes as tracers.  These applications include isotope hydrology, paleoclimatology, environmental geochemistry, genesis of mineral deposits, and chemostratigraphy.
