Work and Education

The focus of Dr. Madeni's research work is in special topics of joining science. Among them are dissimilar metal joining, ceramic to metal joining, development of lead-free solder alloys, wetting and spreading, filler metal flow in the microscale, development of filler metals and new alloys, and thermodynamic modeling for the prediction of phase transformations. In addition, he works in failure analysis projects, in which he uses destructive and nondestructive testing techniques.
