Karen Kazor
I am a first year Ph.D.
student in the Department of Applied Mathematics and
Statistics at the Colorado School of Mines. In 2007 I
graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with
a Bachelor’s degree in both Math and Economics. After
working as a tax accountant for a few years I decided to
return to school and pursue my love of math. As a
Bechtel fellow I have the pleasure of assisting grades K
– 3 at Mesa Elementary with learning all about the world
around them. Outside of school I enjoy painting,
reading, practicing yoga and running. I recently
completed both the Denver and Boulder marathons and hope
to add more to the list!
