Research

  • My research interests are mainly in renewable energy materials and technologies. Solving problems using tools that allow experimenters to "see" the effects of electrons and elemental configurations provides steps forward in sustainable energy. Surface science of interfaces are critical in this respects because in the pairing of two different materials a host of new phenomena may emerge such as electron localization or delocalization, preferred ion diffusion networks and charge redistribution. These issues and more are examined using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
