Multi-Exciton Generation in CdSe Quantum Dots

Empirical pseudopotentials are used to estimate the rate at which bi-excitons are formed in CdSe quantum dots. This work appears in ACS Nano (April 2011) and has been featured in an NSF press release.



We are also investigating multi-exciton generation and singlet fission in novel organic and silicon structures.



Novel nanostructuring of organosilanes can be used to tailor the opto-electronic properties of confined nanostructures.
