  • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Colorado, Boulder, 1992
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, 1990

Research

  • My research focuses on experimentation and numerical simulation of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, transport phenomena, and combustion processes found in solid-oxide fuel cell systems and materials manufacturing operations. In addition to undergraduate- and graduate-level teaching responsibilities, I am developing the Colorado Fuel Cell Center , a 3500-ft2 laboratory facility containing state-of-the-art manufacturing and testing equipment for research and development of both polymer-electrolyte membrane (PEM) and solid-oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), stacks, and systems.
