Biography

Professor Kiousis, received his Civil Engineering Diploma (5 year program) from Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, in 1980. He came to the United States in 1981 with a Fulbright Scholarship and obtained his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University in 1985. He joined Colorado School of Mines in January 2000.  Before that, he taught Structural Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Finite Elements, and Geomechanics at the Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at the University of Arizona.
