Research Interests: hydrology, understanding perturbations to the hydrologic cycle though observations and numerical models, reactive transport, scaling in watersheds, coupled simulation and high-performance computing.

Education: Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of California, Berkeley; M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, University of California, Los Angeles; B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Miami.

Experience: 2014-Present: Professor; 2010-2014: Associate Professor; 2009-2010: Assistant Professor, Department of Geology and Geological Engineering, Colorado School of Mines; 2000-2008: Physicist, 1998-2000: Postdoctoral Staff Member; Atmospheric, Earth and Energy Division, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

Awards: 2020 Darcy Lecturer; Fellow, American Geophysical Union; 2019 Boussinesq Lecture; Colorado School of Mines Excellence in Research Award 2016-2017; Belle van Zuylen Chair (visiting) University of Utrecht.
