Outreach Events

Jobs in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) are rewarding, well-paying, and provide the backbone for a strong economy in the world market. Unfortunately, science and engineering rarely see such captivating and inspiring national attention as the moon landing in 1969. Consequently, outreach events that attract new minds are absolutely essential to meeting the growing needs of these fields.

The Richards' group performs science shows for local schools as part of our outreach efforts. These shows bring exciting science demonstrations and a pro-STEM jobs message to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. Contact Professor Richards directly at rrichard @ mines.edu if you are interested in having a show at your school.

Our most recent outing at the International School at Thornton Middle was a blast (or two!). Below are some photos highlighting the event.
