Golden, October 14, 2012 Dear user, Thank you for your interest in our Mathematica package for the HOMOGENIZE AND SOLVE METHOD The homogenize-and-solve method is a simplified version of Hirota's method to find solitary wave and soliton solutions to certain classes of nonlinear PDEs. In contrast to Hirota's method, the bilinear operator form of the PDE is not needed. This is a preliminary version. More comprehensive software is being developed. Please read the description file to learn about the restrictions of the code. Instead of downloading all the files separately, we recommend that you download the WinZipped (v. 8.1) file Homogenize-And-Solve-Oct14-2012-v1-wh.zip, which contains the following Homogenize-And-Solve-Oct14-2012-v1-wh.nb: a notebook to run the program (with instructions and a sample output for the 3-soliton solution of the Korteweg-de Vries equation), Homogenize-And-Solve-Oct14-2012-v1-wh.m: the source code in Mathematica syntax, h_kdv.m : the data file to run the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation, and ALL other data files listed in the menu of the program, Description-Oct14-2012-wh.txt: a brief description of the design of the code and some reference material. Instructions for using the program are given in the notebook. You need Mathematica v. 8.0 or higher to be able to use the program.
