New Employee Information

Welcome, we are glad you have made the choice to join the Mines community. A new employee’s first days, weeks and months are filled with new information, a fair amount of administration, and lots of questions. Their success begins with an organized onboarding experience to help with their learning as well as the ability to build connections with fellow employees. Human Resources delivers an orientation to welcome Mines’ employees by providing resources and learning tools needed to excel.

All employees are required to attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) at a minimum.  This includes subsequent optional activities occurring throughout their first quarter and is not intended to replace departmental onboarding.  Human Resources will invite all new employees to NEO which takes place every two weeks.

THE CLERY ACT AND CAMPUS SECURITY REPORT

The Colorado School of Mines Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report contains valuable information for all campus community members. The report is designed to inform you of campus crime and fire statistics and provide security policy statements as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (the Clery Act), a federal law requiring institutions of higher education to annually disclose this information.

You can learn more and read the report by heading over to the Mines Campus Safety website.
