Page Sequence

Each division listed (1-15 listed below) and each chapter begins on a new page.

A thesis has three main parts, listed below:

  1. front matter (1-10 below)
  2. body (11-12 below)
  3. back matter (13-15 below)

A thesis might also include a glossary, a list of symbols, or a list of abbreviations. Any of these lists may either follow the last list in the front matter or precede the References Cited section in the back matter.

The starred items (*) are required in every thesis; lists of figures, tables, or maps are required if they appear in the thesis; the other items are optional.
