EMERGENCY / SERVICE OUTAGE MEMORANDUM

Notification Date: Feb. 14, 2019

To: 1600 Jackson Occupants

Outage Date: Feb. 14, 2019

Outage Time: Now until repair is complete.

System(s) Involved: Fire Alarm System

Purpose: Century Link is experiencing some outages caused by lines down. 1600 Jackson is one of the affected areas.

The horns and strobes will work, but the Fire Alarm panel will not call the Fire Department. There will be a Fire Watch for the building until the problem is corrected.

Effect(s) on Occupants: The building will not report an alarm. In case of fire, please exit building and call 911.

Standard restrictions for non-laboratory buildings:

No hot work, this includes:

•             No open flames,

•             No welding, cutting, brazing, soldering

•             No spark producing activities such as grinding

Please notify all personnel affected by this outage.  If this interruption of service creates an unmanageable problem, or you desire additional information, please call 303-273-3330.
