This is not a course about using GUIs. There are many details that could be discussed regarding any particular GUI. The guidance related to GUIs will be limited in this class. As is the case with the other topics in the course, I hope that you will become familiar with the essential items through the class presentations and exercises and continue to learn about the GUI of your choosing long after the course is over. Notice that extensive documentation is supplied with both GUIs in the form of PDF files.

First we will follow a GWV tutorial. Next we will take a limited tour of the Ground Water Modeling System (GMS). There is a more extensive tour that you can explore when you open GMS on your system. After that we will use the example system presented in the GMS tutorial to illustrate the conceptual model approach. Finally, after setting up the files in GMS, we will import them into GWV and vice-versa.
