At the start of new school year we begin with a couple of farewells:

* Congratulations to Yangzhi Zhao who completed his PhD in Materials Science at the end of the summer and wish him best of luck as he begins this fall as a postdoctoral fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

* Likwise, congratulations to his collaborator Kristen Hietala who is off to Accenture Consulting following graduation and three years as an undergraduate researcher in the group.

* We also say farewell to Dr. Tommy Fuerst. After completing his PhD in 2018 Tommy stayed on as a postdoc to jump start our ARPA-E grant. He moved on this summer to become a staff scientist at Idaho National Laboratory. Congratulations and good luck.

* Finally we welcome Dr. Javishk Shah and undergraduates Hope Wikoff, Arthur Harris, and Daisy Fuchs who have joined the group on our ammonia project and we look forward to another productive year.
